BUILD-UP & BREAKDOWN

In an effort to minimise delays during Build-up & Breakdown, please take note of the important information below:

Off-loading/ Loading

  • Cars/ Bakkies to off-load/ load in P3 ONLY (FREE parking) – porters will be available to assist in transporting stock to/ from your stand
  • Vans/ Trailers/ Trucks to off-load/ load in the Marshalling Yard (30mins max)
  • NB! Should the Marshalling Yard be full, vehicles will be directed to the CTICC Site 3 Vehicle Stacking Area in FW de Klerk Boulevard, next to the MyCiTi Depot, until space becomes available
  • Forklift off-loading/ loading – must be pre-booked via Exhibition Freighting 021 552 7248

Porters

  • Will off-load/ load cars, bakkies or light delivery vehicles only
  • Will not off-load/ load large trucks or stand building equipment
  • Should you require a dedicated porter, this service may be ordered directly from Exhibition Freighting www.ef-gsm.co.za or 021 552 7248

SITE INDUCTION

In order to ensure the safety of any person working on site during Build-up and Breakdown, all contractors, stand builders or staff involved in constructing stands for Floor Space exhibitors must complete the CTICC Site Induction before stand building may commence.

Option 1 – Pre-registration & Off-site Induction

  • ALL contractors, stand builders or staff involved in stand construction must familiarise themselves with the CTICC’s Site Induction Manual
  • The CTICC’s Site Induction Confirmation Form must be completed and signed by the principal exhibitor (or contractor), listing all personnel involved in the stand construction, i.e. name and ID Number
  • Email the Site Induction Confirmation Form to cape@homemakers-sa.co.za by Wednesday, 7 August 2019
  • On arrival at the CTICC for Build-up, the principal exhibitor (or contractor) is to proceed to the Security Container in the Marshalling Yard to collect:
    • Contractor/ Stand Builder Identification Wristband for all personnel listed on the Site Induction Confirmation Form. These wrist bands must be worn for the duration of Build-up and Breakdown
    • HOMEMAKERS Expo Build-up or Breakdown Stickers in order to gain entry into the Exhibition Halls

Option 2 – On-site Registration & Induction

NB! Only applicable to contractors, stand builders or staff involved in stand construction who have not pre-registered and completed the induction off-site

  • On arrival at the CTICC for Build-up, ALL contractors, stand builders or staff involved in stand construction must proceed to P1 Parking Office for On-site Induction (30 minutes)
  • Once induction has been concluded, the CTICC’s Site Induction Confirmation Form must be completed and signed by all personnel (ID required).
  • Proceed to the Security Container in the Marshalling Yard to register and collect:
    • Contractor/ Stand Builder Identification Wristband which must be worn for the duration of Build-up and Breakdown
    • HOMEMAKERS Expo Build-up or Breakdown Stickers in order to gain entry into the Exhibition Halls
